Building Industry Materials Research

BIS Oxford Economics has been analysing and reporting on the new dwellings market for over 30 years. We have reported on a range of building materials including: roofing, flooring, external wall cladding, internal walls, ceiling linings, windows, paving and plumbing fittings.

The home improvements market continues to be an increasingly important sector of the building industry. This report covers around 14 major areas which together provide a comprehensive picture of the market for additions, renovations, and dwelling improvements.

BIS Oxford Economics is launching its first stand alone study of 'Building Materials in Non-Residential Building'. Previously included as part of the 'Building Materials and Fittings' reports of 2004, 2001, 1998 and earlier, this study will report on the size of the building materials market in non-residential building during 2006/07.

The Residential Builder Panel series, covers materials used in new residential buildings across Australia.

Each year BIS Oxford Economics uses this panel to update information on key building materials and fittings used in residential dwellings.
